FAQ’s

Do I need to register if I’m presenting?

All 2017 IIEMCA Conference presenters and attendees are required to formally register for the conference.

Do I have to sign up for campus housing now, or can I sign-up later?

We highly encourage all participants that plan to stay in campus housing to sign-up for campus housing on their registration form.  If, for some reason, this is not possible, or your housing or travel dates change after you register, please email iiemca@otterbein.edu.

Designation for on-campus housing must be selected by April 30, 2017 and cannot be guaranteed after this date. On-campus housing availability is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Off campus lodging is available at several area hotels (info found here).  These arrangements are the responsibility of the attendee.

What are my meal options?

Breakfast and Lunch are provided to paid conference attendees and guests (with a paid guest registration) on Otterbein University’s campus on conference days (July 10 – 13).  Dinner is the responsibility of the attendee. There are many restaurants within walking distance of  Otterbein University, varying in price and cuisine. The Polaris area, a 10 minute drive, offers a wide array of dining and shopping options as well.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Transportation to and from Otterbein University’s campus is the responsibility of the attendee.  Taxi services are available from the Columbus International Airport to campus, and costs typically run about $35.00-$45.00 USD.   Transportation to the Banquet site on the evening of Wednesday, July 12 will be provided by the conference.

How do I qualify for the Student Rate?

Undergraduate students, graduate students, and post-doctoral fellows are eligible for the discounted student registration rate.

By selecting a student registration, you must certify that you are a student and qualify for the discounted student-registration rate.  To complete this discount, on the registration form, you must enter in your Faculty Advisor/Mentor name and his/her email address. If you are no longer a student or Advisor information is not submitted or is not verified by the Advisor, you will be registered at the full registration price.

Can I bring a guest?

A “guest” is defined as a non-conference attendee accompanying a paid conference attendee.

If you plan on bringing a guest, they will be able to participate in the conference-related activities listed below with a “Guest Registration” (found in the “additional items” section of the registration).

  • Breakfast and Lunch on Conference days (July 10-13)
  • Receptions (July 10 and July 11)
